Barcelona Blogging

Following in the footsteps of my oh so wise friend Hilary, who has been exiled to Russia for a year, I have decided to start my own blog to keep everyone updated.  I was never a fan of the blog, but I suppose that it is a good idea when in a foreign country.  It is much easier than skyping or emailing all of my friends and family, and I can actually write!  Which I haven't done in a while - I took a hiatus for some perspective.  I believe I can also load photos here, which I could do on facebook... but that would require everyone to get a facebook.  Anyway, enough about the blog.  I have some catching up to do in writing on this since I have already been here for two weeks (oh how the time flies).
Right now I am sitting in my gorgeous apartment, it is much nicer than the digs I have at GW, and those are pretty nice.  I live with four other people - Meril, my friend and roommate from GW, Diana and Trish, two other girls in the IES program, and Paula, the RA who lives in the third bedroom of the apartment.  Paula is 24 and really really cool.  We all wish we could be Paula.  She was born and raised in Barcelona, but her English is great because she spent six months in Sweden when she was in college.  She is a real person with a job and friends, and she helps us out for IES in return for free room and board.  Right now she is camping with her gorgeous friend from Scotland, who I fell in love with.  Oh, to be Paula...
Well I think that is all for now because people are here for lunch but I will continue the update later.
